This song starts off calm, but at 30 seconds in a quick firing off of the drums for a brief second hints at things to come. As we’ve come to expect from Sweden’s flourishing indie pop scene, “It All Starts Now” builds from the inside, blooming and folding into itself only to come back stronger. By the end, it’s everything you hoped it might be at the beginning, and the fact that it starts out so timid makes that all the more rewarding.

This one’s off of Foreign Slippers’ debut albumĀ Farewell To The Old Ghosts, out now.
