In October we reported that there may be a Nirvana musical in the works. Courtney Love’s co-manager Sam Lufti revealed the news, sharing that he and Love were working on a possible musical or movie about Kurt and Courtney’s life using the music of Nirvana.
“There will be no musical,” Courtney explained to the Observer. “Sometimes it’s best just to leave things alone.” Courtney has recently given up the rights to some of Nirvana’s publishing—it’s unclear if any of these rights went to daughter Frances Bean—and she remains cautious about making any more deals regarding her part of the Nirvana legacy. “I got so bullied into selling what I sold. I regret it so much. I’m never selling the rest of it.”
