According to NME, Yeah Yeah Yeahs will soon be releasing the follow-up to 2006’s It’s Blitz. A host from L.A. radio station KCRW recently spoke to Karen O and co. and has confirmed that the band will drop the new album in spring of 2013. No word on when we’ll be hearing the new material, but it seems as though it’s the album is close to completion and that James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem has at least a small part in polishing it up (As Murphy told NME, “I just did a little fun stuff. Nothing really big; I don’t have time and they don’t have time…I was just fussing around.”). Great news for fans of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
