A set of 65 rare color photographs from the Beatles‘ 1964 tour of the United States will be auctioned off on March 22, commemorating the 50 year anniversary of the group’s first album, Please Please Me. Featuring performance shots and candid close ups, the photos (taken by Dr. Robert “Bob” Beck, award winning research physicist and inventor) provide a unique glimpse into the life of a legendary band on the verge of previously unfathomable global ascent.
