Billboard released their second annual Power 100 list, which details the most powerful people in the music industry today. Topping the list was Universal Music chairman Lucian Grainge, a spot he earned in part due to Universal Music Group’s $1.9 billion acquisition of record label EMI last September. Following Grainge is Coran Capshaw, manager to both Miley Cyrus and Dave Matthews Band at number two, Martin Bandier, CEO of publisher Sony/ATV Music Publishing at number three, Michael Rapino, CEO of Live Nation at number four and Doug Morris, chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment at number five.

Jumping from number 100 to number 30 was X Factor and America’s Got Talent creator Simon Cowell, while fellow reality show judge and CEO of Sony’s Epic Records L.A. Reid landed at number 40. Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun was number 42, thanks to a huge year from Bieber and boy band The Wanted. Take a look at the full list at, and check out the top 10 below:
