80/35, a two-day music festival held at the Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines, Iowa, announced its first wave of scheduled acts today. It will feature headlining performances by the Wu-Tang Clan and David Bryrne & St. Vincent. The festival is set to showcase more than 40 artists including Yeasayer, Deerhunter, Wavves, Tea Leaf Green, Kitty (Pryde) and many more.
The sixth annual 80/35 presented by U.S. Cellular will take place on Friday and Saturday, July 5 and 6, 2013. 80/35 draws more than 30,000 people every year and is organized by the Greater Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC), a non-profit movement committed to building a stronger and more diverse live music economy.
Advance two-day tickets are on sale now for $49 and one-day tickets for $29. Day of tickets will sell for $80 for a two-day and $45 for a one-day.
