President Obama and Michelle Obama held the first musical performance in a series called In Performance at the White House, this one honoring Memphis soul music. The latest golden boy out of Memphis, Justin Timberlake, performed a rendition of the Otis Redding classic “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay” and even coaxed the president himself into singing along. Watch the charming moment below.

Aside from Timberlake, Booker T. Jones, Mavis Staples, Alabama Shakes, Sam Moore, and  Charlie Musselwhite all performed. The full concert will be shown on PBS on April 16.
