For Dublin duo Kid Karate‘s “Two Times” video, they shot in Darndale, a “rough, working class suburb of North Dublin” and got professional Irish skater Keith Walsh to play the lead role. It’s the journey of escaping, with a few obstacles on the way but a determination to keep it moving. Musically, it’s somewhere in the mix of The Black Keys, The White Stripes, and Fugazi, an indication of the duo’s wide-ranging set of influences and the ability to make raw, loud music that hits harder than you’d expect from just two people.

Kid Karate’s Lights Out EP is due out July 23. Check out more from Kid Karate on their Soundcloud.
