According to reports from Hits Daily Double, Drake‘s new album Nothing Was the Same has been pushed back and Best Buy’s pre-order information also confirms this. The album’s release date was initially announced as September 17, but is now slated for the following week on September 24. His third studio album will now be released on the same date as his Cash Money labelmate DJ Khaled’s Suffering From Success.

It’s only a week, but the move still provokes the question why the record has been moved. Drake, who seems to be a fan of dramatic reveals, also announced earlier today that he’ll be performing at the VMAs—maybe that has something to do with the move.

Now, Drake will be hitting the Billboard charts with Metallica, Elton John, Icona Pop, Cher and Sting. Check out the screenshot of all the releases slated for that week above courtesy of Hits Daily Double charts.
