Foxes, the musical project of Louisa Rose Allen, has quickly escalated. Allen signed with RCA Records off the strength of her Warrior EP, an album that was released by Neon Gold, a label that’s nearly indie-pop royalty at this point. On her latest video for “Youth,” the singer prances around in Mickey Mouse ears and engages in plenty of, well, playing.

But don’t let the juvenile, carefree feel of this video fool you, Allen has the vocal maturity and range of a classically trained singer. The video was directed by James Copeman and the single itself will be available on iTunes on August 20. Also look for her Youth EP out on October 8 and a full-length record sometime next year.
