We get it. Some people are starting to get bored of Kanye West’s seemingly endless press appearances in support of the Yeezus Tour, but with every radio and podcast appearance, he shares something new, and always comes with a passion that is undeniable. If you think West is an ass, move right along and listen to some great new music from the UK or watch the Busta and Q-Tip video.
But, if you’re interested in seeing Kanye West respond to Power 105 host Charlemagne calling Yeezus “wack” and telling West that he’s a “walking contradiction” (around 5 minutes), or explain the “Bound 2” video and how it’s supposed “to look as phony as possible” (around 21 mintues), watch the extensive and fractious interview above.
I wanted to take white trash T-shirts and make it into a video. I wanted it to look as phony as possible. I wanted the clouds to go one direction, the mountains to go in one direction, I wanted the horses, because I want to show you that this is the Hunger Games. I want to show you that this is the type of imagery that’s been presented to all of us, and the only difference is a black dude in the middle of it.
In another one of his recent radio appearances, Kanye talked to Sway and things got very heated. Hear part of that conversation below:
UPDATE: Watch the whole interview with Sway below. Skip to the end to hear Kanye freestyle—without rhyming—over Nine Inch Nails’ “Closer.”
