Last night, the BBC Radio 1 held its annual Future Festival, a showcase which highlights up-and-coming artists who the station believes are likely to catch on in 2014. Sam Smith performed as the headliner with Sampha, Jhené Aiko, George Ezra, Royal Blood, Gorgon City, and Catfish and the Bottlemen rounding out the rest of the lineup. For the final song of his set, Smith played “Money On My Mind,” the lead single off his upcoming debut album In the Lonely Hour. Sampha closed his set with the solo version of his show-stealing track off Drake’s Nothing Was the Same, “Too Much.”
