Tyler, The Creator, who is prepping for this year’s “Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival,” says he wanted to release 2013’s Wolf as a surprise. He wasn’t able to bring those plans to fruition, but Beyonce pulled it off. The singer shocked the world when she released her self-titled album as an iTunes exclusive without advanced notice. This doesn’t sit well with Tyler.

“I wanted to do that with my last album but I wasn’t able to,” Tyler, The Creator says in an interview with Billboard when asked if he’d ever release an album as a surprise. “When Beyonce did it, I was like, ‘What the fuck? That was my idea years ago! Fuck you!'”

Right now, however, Tyler doesn’t have any plans to release any new music. “Dude, it’s fucked up, but I don’t have any new songs,” he explains. “I wish I did. Maybe next year. Right now I’m just doing other things.” Part of “other things” is this year’s “Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival,” which is scheduled to take place November 8 in Los Angeles, California. Watch the trailer for the carnival below and read more about it here.
