As promised, Flying Lotus released a new video from his 2014 LP You’re Dead! today, and the clip for “Coronus, the Terminator” is one you should keep your eyes on. FlyLo says that “Coronus” is “one of the most important moments on You’re Dead! and holds ideas I’m planning to explore in my future work,” and that he’s “happy that the visual encapsulates the meaning of the record and this ambition.”

In keeping with the theme of You’re Dead!–and in similar fashion to the brilliant video for “Never Catch Me”–this Young Replicant-directed piece finds a man surrounded by his family on his death bed, traveling through his home and and encountering people (including FlyLo) and trying to make sense of it all. There’s despair, confusion, and much more flowing through this clip.

While it’s only speculation at this time, it’ll be interesting to see how this track, which could hold the key to FlyLo’s future material, and the word that he’s working on a movie, will play out this year and beyond.
