Can’t get enough “inside the music industry”-style drama? If Nashville and Empire leave you wanting even more sex, drugs and _____ (insert music genre of your choice), look out for the upcoming French film Eden. Endorsed by Daft Punk, the movie portrays the 90s’ French electronica scene, including the story of how two guys named Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter would become some of the world’s most famous DJs. Given how tightly Daft Punk control their public image, the film should be an interesting peek behind the robot mask (so to speak).
The film is screening at Sundance this week—check out the trailer below.
