These days, a strong video can be the key to a good introduction. The old-fashioned way of making a good song still works, too. Philadelphia artist Phil The God has both, and he’s got a distinct advantage: he’s a video director. He’s worked with big names like Ciara, Common, Limp Bizkit, Jill Scott, and Far East Movement, and with “Outbreak,” he steps into the spotlight. The first 1:45 might give you a seizure, but if it doesn’t, that hook will stick with you for the rest of the day.

The song feels half-finished, like Phil didn’t even complete the verses, but with the massive Stretch production, it barely matters.┬áIf I had this hook and that beat, I probably wouldn’t worry about finishing that shit either.
