After announcing the project just yesterday, Chance the Rapper made good on his promise and delivered the short film Mr. Happy. Chance is the principal actor, and he made the film with Colin Tilley.

Fair warning: it’s dark. Chance plays Victor, a young man contemplating suicide as life’s walls seem to be closing in around him. He tries everything from asphyxiation to pills but finds going through with it a little more difficult than he anticipated. Victor eventually finds a website that promises to do some of the heavy lifting. We won’t spoil the ending for you. In an interview with Vice, director Tilley had this to say about working with Chancelor Bennett:

Chance is like one of the most down-to-earth people I’ve ever met and right away I was like, this dude is really special. We talked about film and he was telling me how he wanted to get more involved in it. Crazily enough, he had a lot of the same taste in weird movies as I do.
