Whether the surprise release of Kendrick Lamar’s new album To Pimp a Butterfly last night was planned or a total mistake, now that’s it’s out in the world, we’re starting to learn a little bit of the story behind the record. Flying Lotus produced the incredible opening track, which features the legendary George Clinton and Thundercat, and last night he shared some interesting information about the genesis of To Pimp a Butterfly on Twitter.
