Today Google launched an awesome interactive experience that allows fans to take a virtual tour of the famous Abbey Road Studios. The doors of the legendary studio have always been closed to the public but today, thanks to Google, millions of people can now get a close look inside—and stay as long as they’d like.
As you begin your virtual tour, you are given the options to visit each studio individually. Symbols soon begin to pop up that you can click on to either watch videos or get more information about the particular spot in the studio that you are in. The map located in the bottom left corner allows you to navigate throughout the entire building.
The interactive experience also features a tour narrated by Giles Martin, who grew up in this famous studio where his father Sir George Martin produced The Beatles’ records. And if you’re interested in more hands on fun, you can head over to the mixing desk and try to your best to mix some recordings.
The interactive tour is accessible via computer, tablets and phones. Start your “Inside Abbey Road” tour here.
