A couple of weeks ago, Rick Ross was arrested for marijuana possession in Georgia, and today TMZ reports that he’s been arrested again for more serious charges. According to the report, Ross was arrested in Fayette County, Georgia and charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery.
The incident that led to the arrest took place about two weeks ago. Ross allegedly pistol-whipped a man who was doing work on the rapper’s house, and then refused to let the worker leave the property. According to TMZ’s law enforcement sources, Ross is accused of forcing the groundskeeper into a bedroom at gunpoint and pistol-whipping him in the face, injuring his jaw and chipping his teeth.
Ross was apprehended at his home this morning and taken into custody.
Update 7/1/15: Rick Ross was released from jail on $2 million dollar bond. According to TMZ, Ross pulled together the funds from:
– $1 million equity from the ex-Holyfield mansion he owns, and another GA property
– $500,000 surety bond (from a bail bondsman)
– $500k in cold hard cash
He’ll have to wear a GPS ankle monitor from now on.
