Chance The Rapper has a lot to look forward to, and consequently as do we. In recent weeks he’s announced the nearing arrival of his firstborn (albeit more of a personal matter), the countrywide Family Matters tour with friends/collaborators, and a project with Lil B.
In a ten-minute interview with Bootleg Kev on Wild 94.1, the Chicago artist called to confirm his album with the Based God: “It’s all done, and it’s a masterpiece… I’ll tell you it’s a full-fledged album. I can’t tell you how many tracks are on it. I can’t tell you how many bars we go back and forth. I can’t tell you about the monologues. I can’t tell you about the features. It’s a classic.”
He also addressed Drake’s “Back To Back” freestyle, stating “it goes crazy.” Pressed further by Kev, he admitted, “Beef isn’t really my forte.” Chance also reflected on the youth-oriented Open Mike events he’s thrown in the Windy City as well as his friendship with Vic Mensa.
“That’s my brother, and he’s been making me super proud as of late,” he said of the recent Roc Nation signee.
