In the wee hours of the night, Drake released yet another freestyle aimed at Meek Mill, and it has been basically all anyone has been talking about the entire day. Since then, fans, haters and those who just enjoy some quality entertainment, have all been patiently waiting for Meek Mill to respond. So far, there hasn’t been much more than a possible pocket tweet and an Instagram post in which Meek says that he’ll be “in the studio soon.”
Since there’s been so much down time waiting for a response, someone (perhaps Drake fans or just ordinary internet trolls) decided to create a website simply titled SaveMeekMill.com. Although on the surface it seems like a cruel joke, the creators actually used this platform to direct attention to a more important issue.
The statement on the website says, “We created the Save Meek Mill website as a tool to help drive Meek Mill into the right direction and to save his brand before it’s too late.” Viewers can in fact make a real donation, but it won’t be going towards studio time for Meek. Instead, the donations will help give back to the children in his hometown of Philadelphia. Each donation will provide school materials for the kids.
