Last November, news broke that Jamie xx would lend his sound-crafting talents to the soundtrack of Tree of Codes, a ballet that would show July 2 through July 10 at England’s Manchester Opera House. Now in the middle of that stint, the production’s show-goers have uploaded a few clips of the performance to the web.

xx, credited as the composer, seems to rely on quieting piano notes that stick to minor chords as well as lighter progressions—more in tune with In Colour—in what we’ve heard thus far.

Watch a short snippet of the ballet above to hear some of xx’s score, and check out a mini-doc about it below. Hopefully we have a chance to hear it in its entirety soon. Listen to the recently unveiled preview here.

For stateside fans clamoring to enjoy the live experience, Tree of Codes comes to NYC in September. Learn more here.
