According to DIY, James Blake has been slipping the title track from his new album into recent live shows. He covertly played the record again during a performance at last weekend’s Latitude Festival in England. The project, currently titled Radio Silence, would be his first since 2013’s critically acclaimed Overgrown, which yielded such songs as “Retrograde” and “Life Round Here.” Fans have clamored for a taste of the new material. Some show-goers seem to have had their wishes met.
The singer-producer reportedly told those in attendance, “It’s really nice to be with you as the sun goes down, it’s always my favorite time to play… I’m writing a new album. We played something from it earlier—I hope you liked it.”
Watch a sufficiently audible clip of Blake performing the song at a previous event below, which we now know to be “Radio Silence.” Stay tuned for any updates that arise.
