As the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards rapidly approach, MTV has officially announced that the recipient of this year’s “Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award” will be Kanye West. After years of providing us all with videos that ranged from humorous to dramatic to brilliant short films, MTV will finally be presenting Kanye with this award on Sunday evening.

Kanye West will join Janet Jackson, Beyonc√©, Justin Timberlake and many more on the list of winners of this award.¬†There will surely be a montage similar to the video MTV shared today and hopefully some additional performances. However, there’s no confirmation yet that Kanye himself will take the stage to perform, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The 2015 MTV VMAs will air live this Sunday at 9PM EST, hosted by Miley Cyrus.
