Last week, it was revealed that the upcoming Kurt Cobain documentary, Montage Of Heck, would include a previously unheard song from Cobain. Now the film’s director, Brett Morgan, shared that the soundtrack would feature more new material. According to Billboard, “audio montages that Kurt Cobain created” will be on the compilation, as well as “a sketch comedy routine featuring Kurt voicing all of the characters.”

To be clear though, these are not full songs, but rather rough recordings of Cobain playing. These aren’t multi-track, finished songs or work-ups, but they’re extraordinary,” explains Morgan. “I think they provide a tremendous insight into his [creative] process. I think they further our understanding of Kurt, both as a musician and as a man.”

Montage Of Heck begins officially starts this Friday, August 7.
