The Late Show with Stephen Colbert had a diverse slate of musical guests last night: First there was the light minimalist funk of Vulfpeck, then for something completely different, BOOTS performed “C.U.R.E.,” a dark and dense Portishead-like track.

The Beyoncé producer was also accompanied by a gorgeous visual display, with recursive projections of the band in the background and a technicolor light show that played right into the claustrophobic sound of the track.

BOOTS’ debut album, AQUARIA, was released on November 13, and it features production from El-P and vocals from The Dirty Projectors’ Angel Deradoorian on the title track.
