Lil B released his first video since June yesterday, and it would appear the Based God is in full-on ignorant mode for his return, “4 Tha Record.” Firing on all cylinders above the ominous beat, Lil B fires some shots at R&B megastar The Weeknd for unspecified reasons. “Call me Lil Bars with the XO bars / Saying fuck The Weeknd, I Can’t sing that soft,” he raps, before reiterating numerous times with, “A lot of suckas fake, so I can’t respect it / Fuck The Weeknd, put that on record.”
Lil B has yet to explain his beef with The Weeknd, but judging from previous tweets he hasn’t been a fan of him for a long time. Abel Tesfaye hasn’t responded either, but it seems unlikely that he will. After cursing a number of basketball stars it would seem that Lil B is placing his focus on music beef once more. At the end of the track, Lil B goes on a sort of rant, saying, “I don’t give a fuck if you’re singing, I don’t give a fuck if you’re rapping, if you’re stealing swag you’re stealing swag.” Abel, you’ve been warned.
“4 Tha Record” is yet another track taken from Lil B’s long-coming Thugged Out Pissed Off mixtape, which has been “coming soon” since last year, but now that Lil B is releasing videos once more maybe we’ll actually be seeing Lil B’s first solo mixtape of the year sooner rather than later.
