Lana Del Rey has faced issues with over enthusiastic fans in the past, but this latest incident takes the cake. Entertainment Tonight reports that a man was found camping out in the garage of Lana’s recently moved to house in Malibu, California. Lana fortunately never had any interaction with the man and wasn’t in harm’s way, and he’s since been arrested on pending charges. A construction worker found the fan living in her garage area, but he fled before police could arrive.
According to a detective on the case, the man left behind a laptop that contained a number of disturbing notes about Lana. “Based on ramblings in his notes, he was clearly infatuated with Lana,” said the Detective, who discovered that the man’s notes frequently mentioned a “spiritual connection” he believed him and Lana had. Lana had only recently moved to this new secluded $3 million beachfront property back in June, with her last home proving too easy for fans to find.
It sounds like a deleted scene from Lana’s “High By The Beach” video, but unfortunately, this is a real thing that Lana has had to experience. Hopefully this will teach overeager fans an important lesson in regards to the boundaries of the artists they adore, and that camping out on the street (or in a garage in this case) to catch a glimpse of their favorite artists just isn’t something you should ever consider doing.
