On “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets,” one of the standout tracks from Pusha T’s new Darkest Before the Dawn project, the newly crowned G.O.O.D. Music president raps:

Old n****s slapping young n****s
Ha, imagine that, where you from n***a?

The line isn’t doesn’t get specific, but we all heard the stories about an altercation between Diddy and Drake, and we also know that Pusha has—not directly, but pretty obviously—taken shots at Drake in the past. So is this line a reference to Drake getting slapped by Diddy and another subtle shot at Drake? Some are convinced that it is.

Another thing to consider: Diddy produced “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets.”

In the video above, Genius’ Rob Markman asks Pusha about the line, but he brushes it off. “I never talked to Puff about that, so I don’t know,” Pusha says. “The energy is just out here, man.”

Maybe some things are better left unspoken. Check out “Crutches, Crosses, Caskets” and decide for yourself. And stay tuned to see whether or not Drake decides that this is worth a rebuttal.
