Soulful British singer Jacob Banks is not playing with his videos. In December we saw “Monster,” an arresting single shot video that turns a simple parking garage into a murder scene, and today Banks is back with another visual for a song from last year’s project The Paradox.

Banks broke down the Johnny Fonseca-directed video for us via email, saying:

“It was such a great shoot with so many creative people. I was tied to a chair for 10 hours straight which was no where near as fun as you’d expect it to be, it was worth it though. The main thing I wanted people to take away from the video was how people view love and relationships and access their own to see if it’s love or ownership. If it’s ownership you’ve got to pack your bags and beige baseball cap (if you’re a hipster) and leave like a real G.”
