Motörhead frontman Ian “Lemmy” Kilmister passed away in December, and yesterday there was a memorial service held (and livestreamed) for the rocker. The gathering saw many of Lemmy’s fellow rock friends, like Guns N’ Roses’ Slash and Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, sharing funny stories and memories.
To end the service Dave Grohl took the stage, where he spoke about the first time he ever met Lemmy. During the story, Grohl reveals that the first words the rocker ever told him were, “Sorry about your friend Kurt.” Damn.
