Jazz Cartier began this new year with several cryptic messages that were followed by a mysterious website full of riddles with hints about his then-upcoming album Hotel Paranoia. Now that the full album is officially here, he’s beginning the roll out for the equally cryptics videos.
Today, Cartier shares the video for the album’s lead single “Opera”—which follows the same dark, haunting theme as the rest of the album. The menacing tones embedded within “Opera,” and the rest of Hotel Paranoia are brought to life in this new video. Cartier is seen roaming the dark alleys of the Venice streets. The Kyle Sanderson-directed visuals manage to transform the otherwise amorous city, into something that looks far more sinister.
