We are in the thick of Yeezy season. WAVES will be out in just over a week, and in the midst all of the anticipation, a lot of speculation, and some unfortunate drama, Swizz Beatz brings us back to Kanye West’s music.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the producer shared some of his thoughts on the upcoming album, on which he worked on a few songs. “It’s one of the best albums I heard him produce in a while,” begins Swizz. “It’s a sound that I think is very enjoyable.” Swizz also believes that WAVES is one of those albums that listeners will need headphones for so that they can “connect to it” and “close their eyes [away] from all of the B.S. and think about the music.” You know, just in case Kanye fans weren’t already excited about WAVES.

Kanye will be premiering his seventh album at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, February 11, and the event will be streaming in theaters worldwide. He will also perform on Saturday Night Live two days later on February 13.
