Kendrick Lamar surprised everyone when he dropped his new project, untitled unmastered., late last week. With zero promotion outside of a few tweets of his own, it looks like Kendrick’s surprise new release has garnered 150k album sales during its first week of release according to Hits Daily Double. If their rumor is accurate, that means Kendrick’s new release is expected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. Not bad for a compilation of unfinished and untitled demos from To Pimp A Butterfly.

Even though the project had little forewarning besides a little slip-up from Spotify a few hours before, the projected numbers are looking super strong despite it coming out of nowhere. 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne’s Collegrove is projected to bring in 45k sales for its first week, which is a respectful performance considering it had pretty much no promotion outside of the pair’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
