Drake returned to The Ellen Show yesterday, after previously appearing on the show in 2013 to talk about his first ever Grammy. Now he’s on the show to talk about his first No. 1 on the Billboard Top 100, “One Dance.” Before discussing what it was like to receive his first No. 1 after gunning for the spot for quite some time, Ellen Degeneres complimented him on his hosting duties on Saturday Night Live over the weekend.
Talking about the experience, he had a lot of kind words to say about the staff, even if he admitted they could be a little scary from time to time when rushing from segment to segment. After a sketch, he had very little time to make his way from one side of the studio to the other for his performance of “One Dance,” which was also his second time performing the song live. Ellen also takes a moment to discuss his friendship with Rihanna, which Drake refers to as “friendship at its finest.”
During his time on the show, he also gets a bit of a scare when someone jumps out of the box right next to him. His reaction to the scare is as goofy as one would expect, too. Finally, Jared Leto, who was also a guest on the show, comes out to play a game of “Never Have I Ever” with Drake and Ellen.
