Beats 1 is teasing an upcoming interview with Chance The Rapper, which is due to drop tomorrow (May 24) at 10AM PST. Interviewed by Zane Lowe, the full discussion looks to be another immensely discussion on par with Zane’s classic Kanye interview or even Drake’s recent talk on the station. In the clip Beats 1 tweeted, Chance talks about his independence and why he’s stayed away from record labels for so long despite his success.

“I don’t agree with the way labels are set up,” he explains. “I don’t agree that anybody should sign 360 deals or sign away their publishing or take most of the infrastructure that’s included with a formal deal. I’ve learned not to be like fuck this company and fuck that company even though a lot of those people tried to make it really hard for me to release my project.” Judging from the performance of his long-awaited third project Coloring Book, it’s safe to say Chance certainly knows what he’s doing.

To complement the brief preview Beats 1 shared, they’ve also released a few audio snippets from the interview. During of the snippets, Chance takes a moment to discuss what it was like working with Kanye West, and divulges more regarding his thoughts about record labels and how they operate.
