Life is but a chess game. Time and time again, Kim Kardashian West, whatever you may think of her, proves she moves across the board as deftly as anyone. Tonight, the media mogul delivered on her chatter-sparking promise: divulge evidence of her husband speaking with Taylor Swift about a now notorious couplet ahead of its release. Given’s Swift’s vehement denial of any conversation prior to The Live of Pablo‘s Madison Square Garden debut, the audio is somewhat damning.
“I think this is a really cool thing to have,” West can be hard saying in the clip.
“I know, it’s like a compliment kind of,” Swift responds. “I mean, what’s dope about the line is it’s very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That’s really nice.”
The saga surrounding West’s line on “Famous”—”I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, why? Because I made that b*tch famous”—has played out in public for months, and hit a fever pitch this evening.
What’s more, the footage will likely do its part to push forward one of music’s best narratives, which is Rick Rubin’s prolific couch presence (he makes a brief cameo). Watch the video ripped from Snapchat below and share your thoughts in the comments.
