Earlier today, Chance The Rapper appeared on Good Morning America to perform his Coloring Book highlight "Summer Friends." As his early morning television debut, Chance couldn't have chose a better track. Accompanied by Peter Cottontale and Francis Starlite of Francis and the Lights, the low-key and subdued performance provided a beautiful rendition of the song that really makes the most of the minimal live setup.

During his slot on the show, he also sat down for an interview with Robin Roberts to discuss his work. Bringing up his relationship with God, Chance said, "People are afraid to speak about God to a certain extent, and I think if you're not free to speak about God, then you're not free." During the interview segments he also spoke about his excitement regarding his MTV VMA nomination, and how he deals with being a touring artist.

Chance The Rapper will be setting off on his Magnificent Coloring World tour next month on September 15 in San Diego, performing all across North America before venturing out to Europe and Australia later in the year. Francis and the Lights will open for Chance throughout the tour.
