We’ve already been teased with bits from Donald Glover’s upcoming FX series Atlanta a few times now, and since the show debuts pretty soon (September 6), the hype train is picking up steam with six new 15-second promos that were shared today.

The clips show Earnest “Earn” Marks, Glover’s character, frustrated at work, getting introspective, in bed, and otherwise being a struggling rapper living in his cousin’s shadow. An official synopsis described the show, saying it “revolves around two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy.”

Glover previously said he feels the show needs to have a strong sense of identity: “I feel like the important thing with this show is to make it personal. I’m not an optimistic guy. I feel like you watch Master of None and it’s a very optimistic look at millennialism, [but] I’m pessimistic about it. I feel like we kind of fucked up.” He also remarked, “It’s the show I always wanted to see on television. It’s easier to comment on what’s happening on TV. TV shows are like novels now, you have to invest in them.”
