Donald Glover's new FX series Atlanta is only a few weeks away from its September 6 debut, but it appears that we have a lot more big screen appearances from him to look forward to. Earlier this year, it was announced that Glover was officially casted in the upcoming Spider-Man film, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now it seems he may have yet another role for a big franchise on the way.

According to The Wrap, casting has officially begun in search of an actor to play a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off about Han Solo. While things are still in the very early stages of production, Birth.Movies.Death is claiming that Donald Glover may be the casting crew's first choice for the role.

Though these reports are still merely in the rumor stage, this news seems quite similar to the road leading up to the official announcement of Glover's cast in the upcoming Spider-Man film. After fans wished for him to be casted, and rumors began to swirl for years, the public was finally met with the result they hoped for. Could this be the same fate for Glover and this yet-to-be-titled Han Solo film? We're not sure, but we'd definitely love to see it work out that way.
