There have been rumors about a new Gorillaz album since last summer. Those rumors were finally confirmed as true this summer when Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn both shared details about the forthcoming album. They've not returned with what seems to be another sign that the new music is coming much sooner than later.

Earlier today, an official Gorillaz Instagram account hit the web. In a few short hours, the account shared 27 posts that created a timeline of their career, working from past to present. Although there aren't any official details about the forthcoming Gorillaz album—aside from the fact that De La Soul and Snoop Dogg might make an appearance—this chronological timeline on Instagram could possibly catch up to present day and finish with an announcement of their album title, cover, release date, single, and more.

Along with a fresh Instagram account, the Gorillaz have also updated their official website. The site features a few music videos, as well as links that lead to all of their social media accounts. Be sure to keep an eye on their social media as they continue to drop more hints at a future release.
