DJ Khaled's big year continues. He had his first No. 1 album in August, Snapchatted the birth of his son last week, and is now preparing to release his book (appropriately titled The Keys) on November 22. To prepare us for what's in store, he shared the motivational first chapter on his website today.
Written in all caps, the chapter focuses on one of his favorite topics: "THEY."
'“THEY” ARE THE ENEMY," he writes in the intro. '“THEY” WANT TO KEEP THE KEYS HIDDEN AND BLOCK YOU FROM THE PATHWAY OF MORE SUCCESS, AND “THEY” WANT TO SEE YOU TO FAIL. I’VE SEEN “THEY” OUT THERE AND I’VE SEEN THEIR EVIL. IT MAKES “THEY” HAPPY WHEN YOU DON’T PROSPER AND “THEY” LAUGH AT YOUR PLANS TO MAKE YOURSELF BETTER AND GET AHEAD."
According to publisher Crown Archetype, the book will also feature topics such as "Don’t ever play yourself," "Secure the bag," "Don’t deny the heat," and "Keep two rooms cooking at the same time." There will also be contributions from a host of big names in the industry including Jay Z, Rick Ross, Puff Daddy, L.A. Reid, Lyor Cohen, and Arianna Huffington.
