After reports yesterday that Jay Z was looking to buy unreleased music from Prince, a representative from the singer's estate has denied the claims.

TMZ had reported that Hov had flown out Prince's sister Tyke Nelson and husband Maurice Phillips to New York last month in an attempt to purchase unreleased recordings for around $40 million.  But now it seems that those reports may be false as L.Londell McMillan, an advisor to the estate, has said that he has "no knowledge of any discussions in that report" and that "those responsible for the assets are not in discussions with anyone regarding a sale."

McMillan confirmed that the estate is not looking to "sell" Prince's unreleased catalog to anyone but is considering offers to license the music,  with all three major labels reportedly interested. Warner Music will be releasing a 40-track hits collection titled Prince 4Ever, on November 22 in the US and November 25 worldwide. The release also contains previously unreleased photos of Prince, taken by Herb Ritts.
