Young Thug surprised everyone on Thursday night with a sudden drop of a new song and video. The clip for "Safe," directed by Garfield "GLP" Larmond, shows Thugger walking (and sometimes dancing) down a long white hallway delivering emotional bars about his safety and protecting his family.

There is no word if "Safe" will appear on any upcoming project, though the YouTube description reads, "I Will Never Quit" followed by "Single coming soon." Though there's no confirmation if "I Will Never Quit" is the title of  an upcoming 'tape or album, it definitely sounds like the Atlanta rapper has something up his sleeve.

It's been a big day for Thugger fans. Hours before the rapper delivered "Safe," we heard his new track "Cook Up" with Young Scooter. And just last week, he linked up with Birdman on the Rich Gang cut "Bit Bak." The Cash Money teased the RG2 project in early 2017, announcing he and Thug would handle the sequel and have already locked down 10 to 12 songs.

"Safe" is his first solo release since his 2016 mixtape Jeffery
