Lil Uzi Vert had two top 10 Billboard hits in 2017 with "XO Tour Llif3" and a feature on Migos' "Bad & Boujee." So, of course, some fans are accusing him of selling out.

Interestingly, Uzi agrees with them. On Thursday afternoon, a fan tweeted, "I heard your old stuff and man you sold out you used to have a flow bruh it's all love though." Instead of denying the idea that he sold out, Uzi agreed and said, "I know exactly what you mean I had to chart buddy. You see how the worst songs be the hits and the best songs stay lowkey underground."

Then, hinting that he wants to return to a more underground sound, Uzi added, "I'm back on my raw talent fuck charting."

If you haven't yet dug back into Lil Uzi Vert's catalog, he used to have a more traditional rap style before heading in the melodic, autotune'd direction that most people know him by now. Maybe 2018 will see the return of the old Uzi that could rap his ass off?

Of course, he also said he wants to make a rock album with Marilyn Manson, so who knows what version of Lil Uzi Vert we'll see this year. Check out some of his older stuff from 2013 for a peek at old Uzi.
