Then came the silky, smooth "Work," last month's anthemic "Find You," and a collaboration with BADBADNOTGOOD, which proved Wilson had an edge behind that pretty voice. She melded easily with BBNG's retro-soul style, and has taken the best of that world with her on this, her debut EP.
CDW is six tracks long—the three previously released tracks are joined by the wonderful, bassy lamentation Wilson made with River Tiber ("Where Do You Go") and the meditative bookends "On Your Own" and "Reprise." With CDW, the artist has leaned in to her strengths and made a thoroughly elegant body of work. Stream the EP below, and catch Charlotte Day Wilson on tour here.
