    Eazy-E – “Merry Muthafuckin’ Xmas”

Eazy-E’s first release since NWA broke up, 1992’s 5150: Home 4 Tha Sick, was tellingly slight—just five tracks. Perhaps because Eazy was so short on material, he threw in a Christmas song—“Merry Muthafuckin’ Xmas,” which sees Eazy and company (a female duo named Menajahtwa; Atban Klann, which featured future members of the Black Eye Peas; legendarily vulgar stand-up comic Rudy Ray Moore; and, notably, Pharcyde affiliate Buckwheat) telling the story of “Christmas in Compton.” To the tune of “Jingle Bells,” Eazy gleefully sings “Dashing through the snow, in a candy ragtop ‘64, over the hills I go, laughing at this ho!” The verses are set to a fairly generic wah-wah groove over which Buckwheat declares, “I used to believe in Saint Dick when Elvis was alive, but all the fuckin’ bullshit got played when I was five.”
