Album: No Love Deep Web Why you should listen: Becuase you're like "fuck corporations"
Listening to Magna Carta Holy Grail might be a pleasant experience, but it could never do for you what 10 seconds of listening to Death Grips does. But besides the music—which is abrasive, intense, and mind-fucking—Death Grips represent a side of music that's punk to the core. While Jay-Z was shaking hands with men in suits to secure major label support and coporate funding, Death Grips were putting dicks on their cover, leaking their own album, and getting dropped by their label for not cooperating. I'm not saying that's the way to go, just saying that if you're worried that big business has a stronghold on art, take comfort in knowing that acts like Death Grips still exist.
