This is simultaneously the most forgivable and selfish thing you can do at a festival. Sure, we all want to make memories. We all want to show our friends how close we were to the stage—but there's a bell curve here. 5-10 seconds isn't going to be enough, 30 seconds is just about right, and anything longer than that has everyone behind you ready to take your phone and eat it. Just swallow it whole and stare at you. It's one thing if you're getting paid to shoot the show, if you've got a big DSLR and a fancy lens and you know what you're doing. But the festival generation was weaned on screens, and when we see one our eyes shoot to it. So please, respect your fellow concertgoers and wrap it up.
